A well-established and respected structural steel fabricator in Staffordshire is seeking a Structural Steelwork Estimator to join their experienced and growing team. This opportunity arises due to the partial retirement of a senior Estimating Manager, creating a long-term role with genuine progression potential, including the opportunity to lead the department.

As a Structural Steelwork Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive quotations for a variety of steel fabrication projects including structural frames, staircases, and balustrades. Working closely with engineers, architects, and clients, you will interpret technical drawings and specifications to prepare fully costed tenders.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, completing material take-offs, liaising with clients and internal teams, and preparing detailed quotations. You will be expected to work confidently with Microsoft Excel and Word as part of the estimating and documentation process.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in structural steelwork estimating, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders. Experience in preparing competitive quotes and a sound understanding of fabrication processes is essential.

In return, the company offers a salary circa £50,000 depending on experience, a permanent full-time staff position with a car and fuel allowance, pension contributions, and flexible holidays.
