BCS connect are looking for a Site Manager in London- Civils/Groundworks

BCS connect are currently working with a Groundwork contractor who is seeking a Freelance Site Manager for various projects across the London area.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a background in Civils/Groundworks and proven experience in a management position.  You will be responsible for managing multiple Groundworks Gangs on site, ensuring all work is being completed to the required standards and targets/deadlines are being met.

**Site Manager- Freelance- £250-£320 dependent upon experience

**Long term- Potentially a Permanent contract for the right person

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee subcontractors and trades to ensure smooth project delivery
• Manage essential documentation, including RAMS, ITPs, QA, and client handover documents
• Chair site meetings with design teams and subcontractors
• Oversee construction programmes, identifying and addressing any delays
• Work closely with subcontractors on site to ensure timely and efficient delivery
• Liaise directly with the main client, resolving work plan issues and driving project completion

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience in Civils/Groundworks Projects
• Strong track record managing subcontractors on site
• Essential certifications: Valid CSCS NVQ Level 6, SMSTS, and First Aid
• Strong IT skills, including familiarity with construction software, Word, and email
