Looking for stability and long-term opportunities? We’re recruiting a Saw Operator to join a busy steel stockholding environment on a temp-to-perm basis. Starting pay is £12.21 per hour, with the chance to secure a permanent position after the initial period.

As a Saw Operator, you’ll play a key role in processing steel materials for distribution. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be physically active throughout the day – you’ll need to be fit, able to lift and handle steel stock, and confident working in a warehouse or industrial environment.

Your responsibilities
You will be operating saw machinery to cut steel to size, measuring, marking, and preparing materials accurately, as well as manually handling heavy steel products. Following health & safety procedures at all times is essential, and you will work as part of a team to meet production targets.

What we’re looking for
Ideally, you will have previous experience as a Saw Operator, Machine Operator, or similar role within a steel stockholding or engineering environment, although this is not essential. You must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting, have a strong work ethic and reliability, and good attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions.
