BCS Connect is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and respected groundworks subcontractor in the East Midlands. We’re looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in groundworks and subcontracting who’s looking to grow within a stable and ambitious business.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing valuations, variations, final accounts, subcontractor procurement and payments, and supporting tendering and pricing of new projects. You’ll work closely with site teams to ensure effective cost control and reporting, while maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders. A solid understanding of contractual obligations and risk management is essential.

What We’re Looking For
Candidates must hold an HND in Civil Engineering or a degree in Quantity Surveying. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the groundworks sector is required, with proven experience working from a subcontractor perspective. Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and QS software are also essential. A full UK driving licence is required.
