Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to specifications and technical drawings.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical systems to identify any issues or defects.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Education: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card are desirable.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
