Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Wanted - Gloucester

BCS Connect are delighted to be partnering with our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor operating in the highways, groundworks, and wider civil engineering sectors, to recruit an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for their Gloucester-based team.

The Role:

• As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial management of projects from inception through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations.
• Assisting with tendering and procurement processes.
• Monitoring project costs and providing accurate reporting.
• Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure financial control.
• Supporting contract administration and change management.

The Candidate:

• Our client is seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria:
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-graduation experience within the construction sector, ideally with exposure to civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial management, cost control, and project valuation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Proactive, motivated, and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
