Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 4:45pm

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced GRP Laminator to join a leading manufacturing business based in Aldridge (West Midlands). This role is ideal for candidates with a background in fibreglass laminating, hand lay-up, and GRP trimming, looking for consistent day shifts and long-term work.

As a GRP Technician / Laminator, you will be responsible for the manufacture of high-quality GRP components using hand lay-up techniques. This role offers an early finish and a 4-day working week – ideal for work-life balance.

Key Duties:

• GRP Laminating using hand lay-up methods

• Working with fibreglass matting, resin, and gel coats

• Trimming, cutting, and finishing GRP components to specification

• Preparing moulds and applying release agents

• Reading and following engineering drawings, job cards, and work instructions

• Performing basic quality checks and visual inspections

• Using air tools, grinders, and trimming equipment

• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience as a GRP Laminator / Fibreglass Laminator

• Skilled in hand lay-up, wet lay, and manual trimming

• Familiar with the use of resins, glass fibre, and related materials

• Ability to interpret basic technical drawings

• Attention to detail and pride in high-quality work

• Experience in manufacturing, composites, automotive, marine, or aerospace sectors is advantageous

• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
