Salary; £40,000-£60,000 + Package

We’re working with a well-established contractor in the Derby area who is looking to strengthen their commercial team with a talented Estimator. They are a respected client within the civil engineering sector and deliver high-quality infrastructure and groundwork projects across the UK.

???? The Role

You’ll play a key role in securing new business by producing accurate, competitive estimates across a range of civil engineering and groundwork projects.

Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring tenders are delivered to a high standard and on time.

???? Key Responsibilities

• ???? Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings and specifications
• ???? Review tender documents and identify key risks and opportunities
• ???? Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• ???? Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
• ????? Manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively
• ???? Support bid submissions and help secure new projects
• ???? Ensure a smooth handover to delivery teams

? Key Requirements

• ????? Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Estimator
• ???? Strong civil engineering / groundwork background (essential)
• ???? High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• ???? Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
• ???? Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• ???? Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• ???? Full UK driving licence (preferred)
