BCS Connect is partnering with a respected groundworks contractor, renowned for delivering high-quality civils projects across the region.
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio of schemes, ensuring each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
This is a dynamic, hands-on position, ideal for someone who thrives on managing multiple sites simultaneously and enjoys driving projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery from mobilisation through to completion. You will manage groundworks, roads and sewers, and Section 278 schemes, working closely with site teams and the wider project delivery staff to meet programme and commercial objectives.
Maintaining strong client relationships will be central to your role, acting as the primary point of contact for all site-related matters and ensuring any issues are swiftly identified and resolved.
You will also play a key part in developing and supporting site teams, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across your projects.
We are looking for a seasoned Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a solid track record in groundworks, deep drainage, road construction, and S278 works.
You will bring strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multi-site operations across different regions, as well as excellent commercial awareness and the confidence to work alongside quantity surveying teams to protect project margins.
A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and construction compliance is essential. You must hold SMSTS, a CSCS Manager Card, and a full UK driving licence. NRSWA and Temporary Works Coordinator qualifications would be an advantage.
In return, our client offers a competitive salary of £90,000 to £110,000 per annum, depending on your experience and the value you bring.
The package includes a company car or car allowance with fuel card, discretionary annual bonus, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, and ongoing professional development support.
